About Adam Maclean – Director of ASK Plumbing & Air

Adam is an accomplished plumber with over 20 years’ experience in the industry. He has worked in domestic, commercial and industrial environments and in all areas of plumbing, from water services to refrigeration.

Adam completed his apprenticeship in the small town of Corowa/Wahgunyah on the Victorian/NSW border. He learnt his trade by working in homes and rural properties, as well as industrial mechanical plumbing work at “Uncle Toby’s”, situated just outside town.

Adam moved to Melbourne in his early 20s and worked as a sub-contractor for mostly domestic plumbing companies. Then in 2002 he changed direction and began working for D&E Air Conditioning and became qualified in mechanical plumbing. He continued working with D&E until late 2014, working in commercial air conditioning and became an integral part of the elite refrigeration team within the company.

All the while, Adam maintained a keen interest in water and sanitary plumbing as he renovated his family’s weatherboard home, as well as helping countless friends and family members.

There are many facets of plumbing that most consumers don’t realise, but to have a tradesman with the knowledge and experience in the many different fields is rare. Adam has a unique and holistic view of the construction industry and is aware of how the different trades need to work in collaboration. This awareness, together with his on-site management experience, puts him in great stead to oversee all types of jobs.
